Cole Vision Corporation, a subsidiary of Cole National Corporation, created Cole Managed Vision in 1988 with the hope of bringing a new face to the vision benefit market. They did. Today, CMV has the largest company owned, company operated provider panel of any vision network in the United States.
Some of these providers include Pearle Vision, Sears Optical, JCPenney Optical and Target Optical. They couple the best in retail optical with the best network of private practice optometrists and ophthalmologists. In areas where it is needed, they recruit independent providers for participation in the network.
When you join Cole Managed Vision, you are joining a group dedicated to your vision wellness. In 1999, CMV was the first managed vision care provider to develop a laser vision correction program and then use that program among their national network of surgeons.
